Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 July 2026
These Terms govern use of Chaos (WhatsApp-assisted work check-ins and the manager web app; WhatsApp agent may show as Chaos). By creating a workspace or using Chaos you agree to them. If you are accepting for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
1. The service
Chaos lets employees message a WhatsApp agent (Chaos) and lets managers view Chaos, People, Board, Week, and Settings. Features may change. Trial and paid plans have different seat limits and number options (shared platform vs dedicated).
2. Accounts
- Keep login credentials confidential.
- Provide accurate phones for people who will message Chaos.
- You are responsible for activity under your workspace, including messages your people send to Chaos.
3. Acceptable use
- No unlawful, harassing, or abusive content.
- No attempting to break, scrape abusively, or overload the service.
- No using Chaos to spam WhatsApp contacts outside legitimate team operations.
- Comply with Meta WhatsApp policies and local employment and privacy laws.
4. Customer content
You retain rights to your organisation’s content. You grant us a licence to host and process it solely to provide Chaos. You represent you have the rights to submit people’s phone numbers and work information.
5. WhatsApp / Meta
Delivery depends on Meta and carrier networks. Template messaging, quality ratings, and number bans are controlled by Meta. We are not liable for Meta outages, policy enforcement, or template rejection.
6. Plans, seats, and fees
Trials are time- and seat-limited. Paid upgrades are invoice-based unless we state otherwise. Template/message allowance may be included in seats; overages may pause chase templates. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
7. Confidentiality
Each party will protect the other’s confidential information with reasonable care and use it only for the relationship.
8. Disclaimers
Chaos is provided “as is.” We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that AI/fuzzy matching will always interpret messages correctly. Managers remain responsible for management decisions.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising from Chaos is limited to fees paid by you for the service in the three months before the claim (or UGX equivalent of USD 100 if none). We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend access for non-payment, abuse, or risk to the platform. You may stop using Chaos and request workspace closure. Provisions that should survive (liability, IP, confidentiality) will survive.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, unless a written order form states otherwise. Courts of Uganda have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections if applicable.
